The Black Panther Party serves free breakfast at St. Augustine’s Church in Oakland, CA, 1969, the most famous of its “Serve the People” community survival programs. By year’s end, the Panthers were feeding over 10,000 children every day before school in cities across the nation.
It was a threat to the government to feed hungry children.
